Position Overview:
Role: Paint & Hardware Sales Associate
Type: Permanent, part-time/full-time
Salary: Hourly, Starting at $17.00/hour
Location: Varies (Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties
Reports To: Store Manager
Environment: On-premises with occasional travel for local deliveries (as necessary)
Key Responsibilities:
· Sell and provide guidance on paint and hardware products
· Greet customers and ensure exceptional service
· Maintain store cleanliness, organize merchandise and signage through the store
· Handle orders, pricing, inventory, and customer accounts
· Use database systems (POS) for order tracking and communication
· Drive company vehicle for deliveries when needed
Driving Duties (as needed):
· Pre-load and route deliveries
· Maintain vehicle and delivery logs
· Ensure safety checks and inspections are completed
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1 year of retail/customer service preferred
· Valid, clean driver’s license
· 1 year of delivery experience preferred
· Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, with prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, crouching, squatting, loading and unloading truck or van
· Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
· Strong communication, computer and customer service skills
