Ashland Medical Receptionist
We are seeking a candidate with experience in medical reception and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Greet patients, schedule appointments, and maintain records and patient accounts. Collect copays and apply them to correct patient accounts. Answering calls professionally. Ensuring patients and/or messages are routed to the correct person/department, and calling patients to remind them of upcoming appointments or to reschedule. Medical office experience is preferred. Must have excellent computer and customer service skills. 30-40 hours a week, depending on the clinic's workload.
$17-$-19 DOE
Duties:
- Checking in/out patients
- Must be professional
- Verifying patient information and insurance on the computer
- Scan into the chart
- Collect co-pays
- Able to handle multiple tasks with constant interruptions
- Scan documents
- Phones
- Scheduling
- Other duties as assigned
- Good with problem-solving
- Great customer service, and it is preferred to have medical front desk experience.
- Must be dedicated, dependable, and a team player.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Check-in patients, verify insurance information, and collect payments
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Prior experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical records
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
