We are currently seeking to fill a part-time medical assistant position. We prefer candidates who are certified clinical medical assistants, but we also welcome applicants with hands-on medical assistant experience. Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Starting pay ranges from $20 to $22 per hour.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Patient care
- Assisting with exams and procedures, taking vital signs, collecting samples, removing stitches, and administering injections.
- Patient Education
- Instructing patients about medications and communicating with them
- Administrative tasks
- Managing medical records, scheduling appointments, handling billing and insurance, and updating patient history
- Laboratory work
- Preparing lab tests, performing basic tests, and disposing of contaminated supplies
- Other tasks
- Sterilizing instruments and patient rooms, preparing and cleaning exam rooms, and arranging hospital admissions
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
