We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Kitchen Prep Team Member to join our Back of House team. In this role, you will help prepare fresh ingredients, maintain food quality standards, support daily kitchen operations, and ensure the team is set up for success during busy meal periods.


What does a shift look like at Chick-fil-A as a Back of the House Prep Team member?

A day in the life of a Prep Cook is hands-on, organized, and focused on setting the kitchen team up for success. You will prepare fresh ingredients, portion food items, stock supplies, and keep the prep area clean and ready for busy meal periods. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow recipes and food safety standards, and a willingness to work with a sense of urgency. Every shift, your work helps ensure guests receive fresh, high-quality food quickly and consistently.


Position Type:

  • Full-time or Part-time positions available

Hours:

  • Day shift works between the hours of 6am-5pm with flexible scheduling
  • Night shift works between the hours of 2pm-11pm with flexible scheduling

Back of House Prep Crew Member Responsibilities:

  • Prepare fresh ingredients according to restaurant standards and procedures
  • Wash, chop, portion, and organize food items for daily use
  • Assist with salads, wraps, fruit, toppings, and other prep items as needed
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines
  • Label, date, rotate, and store food properly
  • Maintain a clean and organized prep area throughout the shift
  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Support the kitchen team during peak business times
  • Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and quality standards
  • Wash dishes, clean equipment, and assist with closing or opening tasks as needed
  • Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Follow all company policies, health department standards, and safety procedures

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Consistent and reliable; MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON SATURDAYS
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Cheerful and positive attitude
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well independently and in a team environment
  • Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule and required to work Saturdays
  • Have the ability to lift and carry 25 lbs on a regular basis
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
