Position Summary:

As an Assistant Manager at Firehouse Subs, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. You will work closely with the General Manager to uphold our high standards in food quality, customer service, and team performance. This is a manager in training position with the expectation for you to become the general manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the General Manager in daily operations, including staff management and supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
• Maintaining food quality and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with health regulations.
• Overseeing and training staff in food preparation, safety procedures, and exceptional customer service.
• Managing restaurant finances, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
• Handling customer complaints and resolving issues to maintain a positive customer experience.
• Scheduling and managing shifts to optimize labor efficiency while meeting service needs.
• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members.
• Performing administrative tasks such as inventory ordering, record keeping, and payroll.
• Contributing to marketing and promotional activities to drive business growth.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the restaurant industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of restaurant management software is a plus.
