The Part-Time Payroll Assistant partners with the Payroll Specialist to maintain compliance with company policies and state-specific wage and leave regulation by focusing on employee communications and data collection. The role will directly assist the Payroll Specialist with a number of duties including employee communications, resolving and confirming PTO requests, and resolving missing or incorrect paychecks.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to process improvement within the payroll function.
Responsibilities
- Be a Hospitality role model with guests and employees. Be respectful, polite, and considerate. Interact with guests and employees in a warm, friendly, and welcoming manner. Exemplify the culture and values of GuestCounts Hospitality.
- Assist the Payroll Specialist in processing biweekly payrolls and weekly tips data accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate with multiple departments to collect, validate, and streamline payroll information for each pay cycle.
- Communicate with employees in a timely and professional manner to payroll and PTO-related inquiries.
- Assist in maintaining accurate PTO and personal time balances in accordance with GuestCounts policies and applicable state-specific sick leave laws.
- Support process and technology improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
- Complete employment verifications and related documentation for management.
- Perform other duties, responsibilities and/or projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Hospitality payroll experience a plus
- Spanish a plus
- Remote but physically based in the same state as one of our locations in PA, FL, NJ, or Washington DC
