Rate of pay$16.85 per hour

The bartender must be able to masterfully provide hospitality and maintain a smile and pleasant attitude while representing The Fish Market’s standards of Uncompromised Quality and the Fish Market Philosophy.


Essential Job Duties:


• Preparing drinks for the restaurant

• Serving guests food and drinks at the bar

• Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the bar area

• Handling cash and using a POS system

• Providing “lateral service” to other departments as needed


Qualifications:


• 2+ years of bartending experience in a high volume, casual dining restaurant

• Ability to learn the complete Fish Market Menu, explain ingredients, and offer suggestions

• Minimum 21 years of age or older

• California Food Handler’s card or ability to get one within 30 days of employment

• Responsible Beverage Service card or ability to get one within 60 days of employment

• Have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes including nights, weekends and holidays

• Be able to lift/carry products horizontally/vertically up to 30 pounds

• Be capable of standing up to 8 hours a shift
