Assistant Beverage Manager | FS Food Group
Reports To: Beverage Director
The Assistant Beverage Manager will support the Beverage Director in managing and elevating FS Food Group’s beverage program across all properties. This role requires a hands-on presence on the floor during peak hours as needed, assisting in the sale and service of wine, cocktails, and other beverages. The ideal candidate leverages a sommelier background to enhance the guest experience, train staff, and optimize both operational and financial performance. This position will require floor manager training amongst each concept to become familiar with our standards and expectations
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Program Development
● Collaborate with the Beverage Director to execute innovative beverage menus aligned with FS Food Group’s culinary vision.
● Maintain high standards of beverage presentation and service across all locations.
On-Floor Guest Engagement & Beverage Sales
● Be actively present on the floor during peak dinner service, assisting in recommending, selling, and serving wines, cocktails, and beverages.
● Educate guests & staff on beverage pairings and selections to enhance their dining experience.
● Assist Beverage Director in putting on wine dinners and other beverage related events.
● Mentor and train bar and service staff on product knowledge, service techniques, upselling, and guest engagement.
Operational & Administrative Support
● Support the Beverage Director in SOP development, policy creation, and operational guidelines.
● Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and events teams to integrate beverage offerings into broader initiatives.
● Assist in inventory management, ordering, stock rotation, and auditing.
Qualifications / Requirements
Certified Sommelier preferred or the equivalent (CSW, WSET Level 2 or Higher) Minimum 3–5 years of experience in beverage management or fine dining operations.
Minimum 2 years Bartending experience
Strong expertise in wine, spirits, beer, and emerging beverage trends.
Proven ability to lead and train teams.
Comfortable being on the floor to engage with guests, manage staff and sell beverages.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Total compensation up to 75k/year with base and bonus
