We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Catering Operations Manager for Plate Perfect Catering. This unique position merges the responsibilities of food and beverage management, catering logistics, and delivery coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire process from food preparation to delivery, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish operational objectives and performance metrics to track progress and drive continuous improvement.
  • Grow sales by creating monthly and annual sales targets. Maintain an organized inventory of non-perishable catering items, including catering on-
  • site materials. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and track usage to minimize waste.
  • Help manage the largest, most complex events (ie:DNC)
  • Oversee fleet and equipment maintenance.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a catering team comprised of service staff, delivery drivers, and sales personnel.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Schedule staff shifts, manage labor costs, and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet demand.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and food handling protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in catering logistics, event coordination, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Caterease preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for order management and inventory control.
  • Flexibility in working hours, as catering operations may involve early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
