Pastry Production Chef – Latin Pastry Focus| FS Food Group | Charlotte, NC
FS Food Group is looking for a talented Pastry Production Chef to help lead the charge in our Latin-inspired pastry programs at two of our most vibrant concepts: Calle Sol and Paco’s Tacos & Tequila.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about baking and desserts with Latin flair—think dulce de leche, tres leches, tropical fruits, spiced chocolate, and beyond. You’ll support multiple locations, ensuring the pastry offerings are consistent, creative, and crave-worthy.
Qualifications:
Degree in Pastry Arts or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 3 years in a pastry role (Latin pastry experience is a plus!)
Skilled in baking, dessert preparation, and plating
Able to work efficiently in a multi-location, fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and preparation of desserts for Calle Sol and Paco’s Tacos & Tequila
Ensure recipes are followed for consistent taste, texture, and presentation
Help coordinate pastry production across multiple kitchen locations
Work directly with Executive Pastry Chef and kitchen teams
Provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality standards
Communicate effectively with both back- and front-of-house staff
Participate in tastings and quality checks
Keep up with pastry trends and bring fresh ideas to the table
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of pastry tools and equipment
Monitor pastry ingredients and inventory levels
Help reduce waste and support budget goals
