IHOP is hiring a highly skilled and motivated Host to join our team in San Antonio and Surrounding Areas, TX!

As a Host at IHOP, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and friendly environment for our guests. Your duties will include greeting and seating guests, managing wait lists, assisting guests with any special needs, and maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant. You will also have the opportunity to learn and grow with us through our extensive training program.

What will we ask of you?

• Welcome guests with a warm greeting and thank them for dining with us
• Promptly seat guests at clean and sanitized tables
• Accommodate guests with special needs
• Manage wait lists during busy periods
• Take phone orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
• Deliver food and beverages to outside and delivery guests
• Handle guest checks and process payments accurately
• Clear, clean, and reset tables and maintain the overall appearance of the restaurant
• Stock and rotate supplies in host areas and dining room
• Comply with all safety and sanitation standards
• Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards
• Complete the IHOP Academy Training program

Who qualifies for this job?

To be successful in this role, you should be able to effectively communicate with guests and team members, handle money transactions accurately, and solve basic service issues with patience and professionalism. Flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are also important. Prior experience or training is desired but not required.

What physically must you be able to do?

During your shift, you will be on your feet for the majority of the time. You should be able to carry up to 25 lbs. periodically, bend, stoop, kneel, and stretch for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
