Our restaurant is looking for a seasoned professional server with remarkable and engaging people skills for our Richmond IL location.
The right person for this job should be able to multitask, engage with customers to provide for their needs without hovering, be detail oriented, have a friendly and upbeat demeanor and be a team player. Our restaurant prides itself in providing excellent service, which is why we are looking for a server who will treat our guests with attentiveness, patience, and a positive attitude.
The responsibilities in our restaurant are to greet guests, seat them, help them with menu recommendations, take and deliver orders, and clear tables. The responsible candidate will also responsible for handling cash and credit card transactions.
To help our restaurant provide a pleasurable dining experience, a good server should be able to ensure that our guests are fully satisfied by being friendly, courteous, accommodating, and reliable. Prioritization and problem solving skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting/seating guests when no host present.
- Providing food and extensive craft beer and creative cocktail menu recommendations and additional information.
- Upselling additional products when appropriate.
- Checking ID's to prevent minors from ordering alcoholic beverages.
- Taking orders accurately using Toast POS.
- Respectfully communicating order details to the kitchen staff.
- Delivering food and beverages in a timely fashion when no food runners present.
- Delivering checks and collecting bill payments.
- Cleaning and maintaining the appearance of dining area multiple times throughout the shift.
- Providing exceptional customer experience.
Job Requirements:
- Must have prior experience as a server (minimum 1 year of excellence in a fast paced environment).
- Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly.
- Must be able to multitask and act quickly.
- Must be flexible and ready to work in shifts.
- Must be Basset certified.
- Food Handler's Certification
- Must be work well with others in a respectful manner
