Willamette Valley Vineyards (NASDAQ: WVVI & WVVIP) is seeking an outstanding Accountant to join our team at our beautiful Estate in the Salem Hills. This onsite position is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with accounting experience, along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and inputting complex journal entries.
  • Month-end close processes.
  • Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare internal and external audit schedules.
  • Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers.
  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets and liabilities.
  • Coordinate bulk wine inventory, packaging and supplies, counts.
  • Liaison for Production and Vineyard teams on labor tracking, inventory purchases and sales.
  • Be the resource for Sales team on inventory movements.
  • Coordinate with the Compliance team on inventory movements.
  • Vineyard development costs tracking.
  • Harvest cost accounting and Vintrace reconciliation.
  • Investigate unusual/non-routine transactions and report findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in special projects utilizing technical accounting and analytical skills to make recommendations.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the CFO and Controller.
  • Supports company’s effort to create a more sustainable, cross-cultural, and “green” environment.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Accounting or closely related field.
  • CPA and/or CMA desirable but not required.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • 5 or more years of experience with increasing responsibility in career progression.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
