Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring top-tier food quality, guest service, and team performance. The AGM plays a critical role in developing team members, maintaining compliance, and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations and leadership.
- Assist with recruiting, training, and developing hourly team members and shift leaders.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
- Monitor daily sales, labor, and inventory to achieve financial targets.
- Enforce labor scheduling policies (minimum 4 staff per shift, labor cost targets).
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding guest service and resolving guest concerns.
- Supervise opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
- Conduct regular line checks and quality audits.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.
- Support execution of local marketing and community engagement activities.
- Step in as acting GM in the General Manager’s absence.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience (QSR or fast casual preferred).
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Solid understanding of labor, food cost, and inventory controls.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- ServSafe certification (preferred).
