Activity Coordinator — Full Time (30–40 Hours/Week)

Starting Pay: $14.50/hour and up, depending on experience

Activity Coordinator Pay & Raise Policy
Starting pay: $14.50/hour
Annual raises: Based on attendance, performance, and write-up history
Schedule: Full-time, 30–40 hours/week, first shift
Travel: Position supports both our Oak Creek and St. Francis locations
Activity Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Implement and support Life Enrichment programming that promotes social, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and physical wellness
- Assess residents’ functional fitness and activity interests; design programming based on individualized needs
- Lead, instruct, and supervise group and one-on-one exercise sessions, adapting movements to resident capabilities
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational, social, and spiritual activities
- Coordinate and utilize volunteers and in-house resources effectively
- Collaborate with local community groups and businesses to support events and programming
- Set up, tear down, and clean up after activities and events
- Promote resident engagement and encourage participation in daily programs
- Track resident progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and make adjustments
- Maintain detailed resident activity files (assessments, physician releases, attendance, workout logs, etc.)
- Observe and communicate resident status changes to appropriate team members
- Review staff communication logs and maintain familiarity with resident records
- Assist with open houses and community events
- Follow all safety, administrative, and emergency procedures
- Prevent loss and misuse of supplies and equipment
- Ensure departmental staff meet expectations through supervision and ongoing training
- Maintain accurate records of activities conducted and resident participation for reporting purposes.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities and maintain a safe environment for residents at all times.
Activity Coordinator Requirements:
- Must enjoy working with seniors and understand their needs
- One year of supervisory or management experience preferred
- One year of experience working with seniors required
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Reliable, professional, and motivated to provide meaningful engagement to residents
