Job Summary


The Assistant Operations Manager is an integral part of the hotel's operations. From front desk to guest services to food and beverage assistance, the Operations Manager is the face of the hotel. Responsible for professional and efficient management of guest services and reservations, the Operations Manager will focus on maximizing room revenue while ensuring guest satisfaction. Daily Duties

  • Maintain a presence at the front desk including covering desk shifts
  • Train schedule, supervise and coach front desk staff to develop a strong team
  • Reservation and revenue management including selling skills, rate management, deposits, room requests and third party bookings
  • Ensure guest satisfaction including handling guests complaints, specific requests and follow up
  • Implement front office policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Daily communication with Front Desk team, department heads, GM and Corporate team
  • Assist in the daily operations of all hotel departments as needed including front office, housekeeping and maintenance
  • Assist with group related activities as needed including inquiries, contracts, arrivals, departures, food and beverage events, billing and follow up
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure guests are well informed and well taken care of during their stay
  • Advise and assist General Manager
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2 year degree or equivalent education/hospitality experience
  • Ability to solve guest issues with professionalism
  • Ability to complete administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Ability to promote positive morale and a friendly attitude
  • Team Player
  • Friendly and service oriented attitude
  • Able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours
  • Able to read and write English
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • High School Degree
  • Weekends and holidays may be required based on business volumes
