Lafayette Hotels, a family-owned and operated company with over 30 hotels and restaurants throughout Maine and New Hampshire, is seeking a talented General Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for all facets of the hotel, from day-to-day operations to hiring and supervising staff. Your strong leadership and communication skills will be essential in ensuring the success of the hotel. As a team player, you will be expected to jump in and assist in any position, whether it's housekeeping, maintenance, or the front desk. We value individuals who are efficient, can take direction, and are willing to go the extra mile to make our guests' experience exceptional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations of the hotel
- Hire, train, supervise, and discipline staff
- Control costs and maximize revenues
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Oversee Restaurant, Banquet, and Kitchen operations
- Collaborate with various departments to optimize hotel performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent management experience in the hospitality industry
- Strong work ethic and honesty
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Food and Beverage leadership experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, be on-call, and work holidays
