General Summary:
At Ace Hardware of Walnut Lake, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing high-quality products and services. The Processing/Receiving team is responsible for handling all dropship products and ensuring that our department is fully stocked, well-organized, and merchandised. This role involves processing items from receipt to display, conducting light merchandising tasks, maintaining the cleanliness and order of department floors, shelves, and fixtures, and ensuring that all products are properly labeled. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player who takes pride in accuracy and efficiency, with a focus on customer satisfaction. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team and help us achieve our goal to “Amaze Every Customer Every Time.”
Job responsibilities:
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
- Inspect incoming merchandise and document any damages
- Price every item while considering freight charges and margins
- Assist in ensuring that signage, product display and cleanliness are addressed and maintained at an acceptable standard
- Maintain merchandise presentation, pricing and the accuracy of inventory levels
- Enthusiastically encourage teamwork within the store and with all other departments
- Promote customer service as the #1 priority

Position Requirements:
- Strong computer skills
- Willingness to learn a vast knowledge of consumable products
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Able to walk, reach, climb ladders, and bend to perform job duties
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Visual merchandising experience is a plus
