Do you enjoy working with fresh products, helping customers, and staying busy? Buche Foods in Mobridge is looking for a dependable Meat Department Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll help keep our meat department stocked, organized, and looking its best. You’ll assist customers, stock and rotate products, maintain fresh displays, and help ensure our department meets food safety and cleanliness standards. What You’ll Do
Customer Service
·Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
·Assist customers with product selection and questions.
·Share product information and recommendations.
·Help create a positive shopping experience for every customer.
Meat Department Operations
·Receive and inspect incoming products for quality, temperature, and accuracy.
·Stock and rotate meat cases, coolers, and freezers.
·Keep displays fresh, stocked, organized, and appealing.
·Remove outdated or poor-quality products.
·Maintain accurate pricing and promotional signage.
·Assist with product sampling and promotions as needed.
Inventory & Stocking
·Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing incoming products.
·Maintain proper product storage and organized back stock.
·Monitor inventory levels and record daily shrink.
·Safely operate assigned store and department equipment.
Food Safety & Cleanliness
·Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health requirements.
·Keep work areas, equipment, coolers, and freezers clean and organized.
·Properly handle and store meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
·Safely operate and sanitize department equipment.
What We’re Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
·Previous grocery, meat department, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
·High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
·Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred.
·Reliable transportation to and from work.
Skills & Abilities
·Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused.
·Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
·Basic math, weights, and measurement skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Willingness to learn and help wherever needed.
Physical Requirements
·Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
·Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
·Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments.
·Ability to safely use knives, slicers, grinders, and other assigned equipment.
·Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
