Role Summary
The Cashier / Host is a guest-facing position responsible for greeting guests, managing seating, handling payments, and ensuring a positive and smooth dining experience. This role is a key part of the Front of House (FOH) team and represents the restaurant’s first and last point of contact with guests.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Manage guest seating, waitlists, and reservations
• Process cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and restaurant policies
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Handle takeout and delivery orders when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area
• Resolve guest concerns politely and escalate issues when necessary
• Follow all company policies, safety, and sanitation standards
Work Experience
• Prior experience in a restaurant, cashier, or customer service role preferred
• Experience with POS systems is a plus, but training will be provided
• Experience in a fast-paced environment is helpful
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• No formal education required

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light items if needed
