Culinary Intern

Why Should I do this Internship?

In this internship you will get to go behind the scenes to learn how we create our delicious food at Chick-fil-A Sanford. You will have the opportunity to learn alongside Owner/Operator Joe Adcock, who has been with Chick-fil-A for 12 years. You will also get to work alongside the Food Safety Coordinator to help us achieve our food safety and quality objectives. 


Timeline:

The Internship will run from Tuesday May 26th until August 8th. These times can be adjusted based on the school schedule of the participant. Employment may continue after the stated end date based on the performance of the individual. 


The internship will last 11 weeks long. Interns will be expected to work 40 hours each week. 30-35 of these hours will be spent being trained to work and working in our kitchen. During the first 6 weeks, the extra 5-10 hours a week will be spent on learning areas of the kitchen outside of working in operations from restaurant leaders. During the last 5 weeks, the extra 5-10 hours will be spent on executing an intern project which will be given based on the current business need.

  • Chick-fil-A Quality Standards
  • How to complete Food Safety Assessments (FSA)
  • How to Complete Restaurant Safety Assessments (RSA)
  • Execution of Restaurant Systems
  • Kitchen Throughput
  • How to perform a Root Cause Analysis to fix a food safety or quality issue
