Why This Role Matters
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to assist Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to residents. This role focuses on supporting mobility, strength, and functional outcomes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Reporting: This position reports directly to the Physical Therapist and collaborates with the rehabilitation team and interdisciplinary staff.
Role Overview
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans under PT supervision
- Document therapy sessions and resident progress accurately and timely
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility, and functional activities
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in care conferences and therapy-related activities, as applicable
What We’re Looking For
- Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- New graduates are welcome to apply; experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Knowledge of PDPM and basic documentation standards
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
- Physical ability to safely assist residents with mobility and therapeutic activities
