Leadership Opportunity Available: Assistant Director of Rehabilitation, ADOR OT

Employment Type: Full-Time 

Hourly Rate: $65 to $70 

Full Time Position: $4,000 Hiring & Retention Bonus (Limited Time Offer) 

 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to serve as Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR). This leadership role supports the Director of Rehabilitation in overseeing the rehabilitation program, mentoring a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians looking to grow into a senior leadership role. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in leading and managing daily operations of the rehabilitation department 
  • Support and supervise PT, OT, SLP, assistants, and aides 
  • Help ensure regulatory compliance and accurate, timely documentation 
  • Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams 
  • Assist in developing individualized care plans and supporting PDPM processes 
  • Monitor productivity, clinical outcomes, and departmental performance 
  • Participate in audits, care conferences, and leadership meetings 
  • Step in for the DOR as needed to ensure continuity of operations 

Qualifications: 

  • Active California license in OT in good standing 
  • Prior experience as an ADOR, Lead Therapist, or Rehab Supervisor preferred; No prior experience as Assistant Rehab Manager but with 5 years + experience as Occupational Therapist in Skilled Nursing Facility are welcome to apply 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or higher) 
  • Knowledge of PDPM, Medicare, and SNF regulations 
  • Experience with EMR systems and regulatory compliance 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills 
  • Ability to foster teamwork, professional growth, and a positive work environment 
  • Passion for service in geriatric care
