As an Assistant General Manager at Nifty Fifty’s, you will support the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations while taking ownership of key performance areas. You’ll serve as a hands-on leader, guiding both shift leaders and hourly staff to ensure our standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness are consistently met. From managing inventory and scheduling to resolving guest concerns and supporting staff development, you’ll help create a positive, high-performing environment where both guests and team members feel valued. Your leadership will play a vital role in upholding our brand’s reputation and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the General Manager in the daily operation and profitability of the restaurant
  • Lead shifts with confidence, ensuring a smooth operation from open to close
  • Deliver outstanding guest service and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Assist in managing labor costs, inventory, food quality, and product presentation
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to uphold Nifty Fifty’s brand standards
  • Communicate and enforce company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to align, energize, and inform the team
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling of team members
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on goals to drive quality, morale, and guest satisfaction
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including balancing drawers and shift reporting
  • Complete administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by upper management

Qualifications & Requirements

  • ServSafe Certification required — or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Previous leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant environment preferred
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality and cleanliness
  • Proficiency in basic math and inventory procedures
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Self-motivated with a hands-on, team-oriented approach
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Spanish-speaking ability is welcomed and can enhance team interactions.
