Store Manager Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled pizzeria manager with remarkable skills, who will accept full responsibility for running the store effectively and with attention to detail.Our store manager candidates are required to be in constant contact with the staff and customers. They need to be able to ensure their staff provides the highest quality customer services and monitor the overall financial performance of the store.


The responsibilities of a store manager are to greet the staff and customers, provide them with what they need, give intelligent recommendations and suggestions, build customer and brand trust, assist the staff with anything they need and make sure the customers have a great dining experience. They understand every aspect of the operation and can train, fill in or assist in any capacity, as needed.


More importantly, a perfect store manager candidate should be reliable, courteous, and friendly to ensure that the customers are fully satisfied.


Key Accountabilities of a Store Manager:

  • Manage the pizzeria in an effective and efficient manner while maintaining superior customer service and satisfaction
  • Provide direction to the team during shift; acts as a coach and mentor, role modeling the expectations of customer service and upholding Pepperoni’s standards
  • Coach, educate and motivate the team to maintain a high-quality customer service experience
  • Provide leadership within the pizzeria; recognizing and motivating the team to achieve operational excellence
  • Coach assistant managers and supervisors through “people management” activities to assist them with development and practice of their skills
  • Constantly monitor staffing levels and recruit proactively utilizing available tools and systems to ensure sound selection of candidates
  • Handle customer complaints and queries and manage customer loyalty through POS reports, email and positive interactions
  • Ensure cleaning and maintenance schedules are followed to maintain cleanliness of equipment and pizzeria in general
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations
  • Build sales and maximize profits by effectively interacting, developing, and communicating our company and customer expectations to the entire team
  • Perform cost control procedures, prepare financial accounting and reporting, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and efficient labor management
  • Dispatch orders for delivery to maximize ATD times and efficiencies
  • Provide effective Dough Management, Prep Management and equal assignment of duties
  • Accountable for scheduling all pizzeria staff and contract delivery drivers taking into consideration, sales history, trends and daily labor
  • Manage food costs to within targeted variance
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Identify opportunities for sales building through community involvement
  • Execute local store marketing initiatives to build brand awareness and loyalty
