Position Summary:
The Truck Wash Attendant is responsible for performing all aspects of truck cleaning and detailing, as well as supporting equipment maintenance and operational duties as assigned by the Truck Wash Manager. This role requires attention to detail, technical aptitude, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform exterior and interior washing and detailing of trucks and trailers, including 18-wheelers, using pressure washers, brushes, detergents, and other cleaning tools.
• Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting on truck wash equipment as assigned by the Manager.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash bay, equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and chemical handling procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to drivers and fleet customers.
• Support the Truck Wash Manager in completing operational tasks, including inventory checks and documenting work performed.
• Collaborate with other attendants and staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a truck wash, car wash, or fleet environment preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with equipment maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and 12-hour shifts.
Physical Requirements:
• Standing and walking for most of the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and operate pressure washing equipment safely.
• Ability to work in wet, noisy, and outdoor environments while wearing required PPE.
