Closing Kitchen Team Member


The Closing Kitchen Team Member role is a unique opportunity that provides you with the ability to contribute to a high-performing team on a consistent schedule every day. Each day, these Team Members will arrive at the restaurant to prepare the restaurant for an effective dinner service and restaurant close. This is a fast-paced environment that requires excellent communication and the ability to multi-task. This shift will see the restaurant transition from dinner service into a period where we rapidly close the restaurant and clean/sanitize all dishes and equipment to the highest standards of food safety. You will have the unbelievable opportunity to learn from our experienced Kitchen Managers, Operations Directors, and a local Owner/Operator that is committed to working full-time in the restaurant. This role will develop you quickly, and historically, many of our opening Team Members have leveraged this development into a rapid promotion to Shift Lead or Manager!


The pay range for this role varies based on a number of factors, including full-time vs. part-time status, relevant experience, and availability.


Position Type:

  • Full-time or Part-time (4:00pm or 5:00pm - 11:00pm schedule)

Closing Kitchen Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain proficiency with all kitchen equipment to enable a successful close/sanitation/reset of all work stations each night
  • Break down each station in the kitchen to clean and sanitize all equipment prior to close
  • Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all kitchen positions (rotation, breading, food prep, food assembly, dish washing & reset, etc.)
  • Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times to facilitate the accomplishment of our food safety goals
  • Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to Leadership
  • Maintain professional knowledge and pursue continuous growth by completing in-house training
  • Complete all closing tasks as assigned by kitchen managers and the restaurant's senior leadership team
  • Adhere to all Chick-fil-A policies and dress code at all times
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Have the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
