Front of House Shift Leader (Mid-Level Leadership Role)

Role Overview
The Front of House Shift Leader is a mid-level leadership role responsible for leading the guest experience and supporting team member development during assigned shifts. This leader sets the tone on the floor, ensures operational excellence, and partners with senior leaders to execute Chick-fil-A standards with consistency and care.
This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and desires to grow their leadership skills while positively impacting guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Front of House operations during assigned shifts
- Model Chick-fil-A hospitality and service standards at all times
- Coach, train, and develop team members in real-time
- Ensure accuracy, speed, cleanliness, food quality and food safety standards are met
- Manage shift flow: positioning, breaks, and labor efficiency
- Resolve guest concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and leadership teams
- Uphold Chick-fil-A values and culture on every shift
Leadership Expectations
- Serve as a role model in attitude, appearance, and work ethic
- Provide encouragement, accountability, and feedback to team members
- Support new hire onboarding and ongoing training
- Step into leadership decisions when senior leaders are not present
- Contribute ideas for improving guest experience and team engagement
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership or key-holder role preferred
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- High standards for service, cleanliness, and accuracy
- Coachable, dependable, and solution-oriented
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Availability to work a mix of mornings, evenings, and weekends
