Tamarind is a new, quick service restaurant in downtown Salt Lake. We’ve been open only a year and have a large customer following! Be at the ground floor and grow with us!
SALARY RANGE BETWEEN $70,000 - $80,000 + bonuses, depending on experience
As a Restaurant Manager, you will work in the highest position in the restaurant. You will work closely with the owner to grow the business. You will be responsible for the results of the business, which includes the financials, the moral of the employees and guests, and how well the parts of the operation work together. We will compensate you well based on your experience and performance while working with us!
This is a mostly autonomous position and candidates must be able to take direction from owner, be self-directed and motivated while ensuring standards are met with every plate, every customer, every time. Set schedule available and preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
o Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
o Management and maintenance of point-of-sale system, including updating menu, pricing, troubleshooting, etc.
o Creates processes and systems for food waste tracking and reduction.
o Hiring, training, scheduling, and payroll.
o Develop team members skills and knowledge of all job roles.
o Motivate, coach and develop a team to create future leaders.
o Conducting by performance reviews for team members and providing direction and feedback.
o Manage team members and ensures all rules and processes are followed.
o Managing and generating reports to track profitability and develop systems to manage costs.
o Experience in financials to include use of spreadsheets, payroll or similar programs and knowledge of P&L’s.
o Create and/or manage current inventory list and ordering processes to ensure an adequate level of product and supplies.
o Ordering of groceries and supplies.
o Management of equipment maintenance.
o Developing and/or managing cleaning and side work schedules.
o Maintains high food quality and attractive food appearance, made according to Tamarind specifications
o Monitoring the kitchen for cleanliness, ticket times, and health and safety practices.
o Follow all Tamarind standard operating procedures and guidelines.
o Follow proper sanitation and cleanliness standards in the restaurant to fulfill health requirements.
o Continue to maintain and build sales for your restaurant.
o Filling in other roles (including cooking) when needed but without neglecting management tasks.
