Chick-fil-A Chino Hills is accepting applications for the position of HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN with the Human Resources Department. 


This is an entry level, classification in which students with current enrollment in, or recent completion of, a Business or Public Administration Bachelor's Program gain experience in assisting management staff in the performance of professional administrative duties. A Human Resource Intern, under direct supervision, will perform entry level professional administrative duties, assist in a wide variety or duties including but not limited to operations, and do related work as required.


Work Performed

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
  • Collect, summarize, and analyze information on existing programs and services.
  • Participate in organizational and procedural studies and the preparation of reports.
  • Participate in the design of forms and the implementation of systems.
  • Prepare in the resolution of administrative, personnel or operations concerns/problems.
  • Training on operations is a must.
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, and performance evaluations.
  • Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
  • Prepare, set up, and execute for new employee orientations.
  • Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them.
  • Constantly collaborate with both team and leaders to accomplish daily activities and meetings.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to state and federal requirement and regulations.
  • Learn and help on operations is a must

Qualifications

Education: Current enrollment in, or completion within the last five years of, an undergraduate degree studying public or business administration or a related field.

 

Experience: None required


Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in, or completion of, courses in Human Resources related subjects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work with a minimum of supervision, and able to handle confidential matters
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills, including email, MS Office and related business & communication tools
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and able to interact with staff at all levels
  • Must be available in the evenings and weekends
  • Integrity

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
  • Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
