Community & Events Director

Role Overview

The Community & Event Director is responsible for planning events, marketing, community, and brand initiatives across Chick-fil-A Hickory Flat and community partners. Core responsibilities include event execution, visual design, catering growth, and social media collaboration. This individual plays a key role in serving the community through events, catering coordination, and creative/administration support. They live out “Kindness Over Everything” and create pathways for connection, hospitality, and purpose in Canton.

Key Priorities

Community Events and Planning

  • Plan and execute intentional events with community partners that positively impact the Canton community and local families.
  • Select events that align with shared values, support community relationships, and create meaningful guest experiences.

Graphic Design & Creative Support

  • Design compelling graphics and visual assets that elevate brand presence while maintaining Chick-fil-A visual standards and creative aesthetic.
  • Support internal communication, promotional campaigns, and storytelling moments.

Administrative Support

  • Self driven to manage tasks and reach deadlines. 

Catering Growth

  • Increase awareness, sales opportunities, and community partnerships for Chick-fil-A catering.

Social Media Collaboration

  • Co-develop content strategy with internal teams to highlight people, events, culture, and shared brand initiatives.
  • Capture and publish content that authentically represents the Canton community, catering offerings, and the spirit of hospitality.
  • Work with the internal Chick-fil-A Canton team to develop a clear and engaging social media plan.

  • Event planning or hospitality experience

  • Photography/videography experience a plus
  • Chick-fil-A or catering experience beneficial but not required
