- Master the use of the wok for stir-frying, sautéing, and flash-cooking ingredients at high heat
- Prepare ingredients (chopping vegetables, slicing meat, making sauces, etc.) for efficient service
- Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation of all wok dishes
- Monitor and adjust flame and cooking time to achieve the perfect balance of wok hei (charred aroma and flavor)
- Ensure all dishes are served hot, fresh, and on time
- Keep a clean and organized wok station and kitchen environment
- Check the quality of ingredients and report shortages or issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety standards and kitchen protocols
