Catering Lead Job Description
Role Summary: The Catering Lead is a key leadership position responsible for the end-to-end execution of our catering business. This individual ensures that every catering order is prepared with excellence, delivered with care, and executed with the signature Chick-fil-A hospitality. You will serve as the primary bridge between the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) to ensure seamless operations and 100% order accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Management & Coordination
- Oversee all catering delivery and pickup orders, ensuring they are scheduled and prepared on time.
- Act as the primary point of contact for catering guests, taking orders via phone or in-person with a professional and helpful demeanor.
- Coordinate daily with BOH leadership to communicate large order requirements and timing.
- Collaborate with FOH to ensure proper staffing for deliveries and order assembly.
2. Preparation & Quality Assurance
- Assist in the physical preparation and packaging of catering orders (trays, boxed meals, etc.).
- Perform final accuracy checks on every order, ensuring all condiments, paper goods, and beverages are included.
- Maintain a clean and organized catering station, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for high-volume periods.
3. Delivery & Setup
- Execute professional deliveries to local businesses, schools, and community events.
- Provide high-level setup at delivery locations, ensuring the presentation meets Chick-fil-A standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the catering delivery vehicle.
4. Hospitality & Relationship Building
- Embody the "Remark"able guest experience by being "Second Mile" focused during every interaction.
- Follow up with guests after large events to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
- Handle guest concerns with grace and a "My Pleasure" attitude.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced food service or hospitality environment.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team through high-pressure situations.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (for delivery purposes).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
