Position Summary
A Team Member at Chick-fil-A Houston Center plays a crucial role in delivering a memorable experience to every guest. This position involves working in various areas of the restaurant, including front-of-house (customer service and order taking) and back-of-house (food preparation, cooking, cleaning). Team Members are expected to uphold our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and hospitality, contributing to a positive and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Hospitality
Greet guests warmly and take accurate orders with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
Process payments efficiently and accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service to ensure a remarkable dining experience.
Maintain a clean and organized counters, floors, and condiment stations.
Resolve guest concerns promptly and courteously, escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
Engage with guests in a genuine and positive manner, making them feel valued.
Food Preparation & Quality
Prepare food items according to Chick-fil-A's strict quality and safety standards.
Ensure all food is served fresh, hot/cold as appropriate, and presented appealingly.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control.
Monitor food levels and communicate needs to ensure adequate stock throughout shifts.
Cleanliness & Maintenance
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including kitchen and service areas.
Operate and clean equipment safely and effectively, following established procedures.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is ready for service or properly secured.
Teamwork & Communication
Work collaboratively with other team members and leaders to achieve operational goals.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with colleagues and supervisors.
Be punctual and adhere to scheduled shifts.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
Qualifications
Must have availability between 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
No previous restaurant experience required; we provide comprehensive training.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Must be willing to work in either FOH and/or BOH.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, and lift.
Ability to work in varying temperatures (e.g., near ovens, in walk-in coolers).
Comfortable working with hot oil and other kitchen hazards with proper safety precautions.
Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
