Come join our amazing team of dog lovers at The Dog Stop as we grow our grooming department! As a Bather you will be responsible for completing all services scheduled for each appointment. You work side by side with the established groomers, as well as have the opportunity to learn other areas of the business, such as canine handler or retail staff. Experience the joy of working with our 4 legged friends - and you can even bring yours to work with you!
Requirements for this position:
- Positive Attitude
- Time Management Skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Love of Dogs!
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Bathing dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Nail trimming and nail grinding
- Anal gland expression
- Ear cleaning with every bath
- De-shed treatments
- Refilling shampoo bottles
- Bathing room laundry. Cleaning and folding towels
- Upkeep and cleaning of the bathing and grooming room
- Assisting groomers when needed
- Keeping up with the bath board (updating locations and status of dog)
- Make sure all bath dogs have water
- Give bath dogs potty breaks
- Report any abnormal findings on a dog to management
