Events & Mobile Operations Manager — The Skinny Pancake
Full-time • Travel-heavy • Outdoors-friendly • Adventure required
This is not your typical management job. The Events & Mobile Operations Manager is the heartbeat of our most dynamic, high-energy operations. You’ll jump between in-restaurant leadership, mobile event execution, and large-scale community events—all while championing our mission to build a safer, healthier, more delicious food shed.
This role comes with a wildly variable schedule: early mornings, late nights, weekends, long stretches on the road, and plenty of time spent outdoors. Travel to neighboring states, overnights, and even occasional camping are part of the gig—especially during peak event season. If you love variety, this is the ultimate hospitality hybrid.
What You’ll Do:
Mobile Operations Management
- Build festival and mobile schedules that align with company goals
- Own logistics: permitting, staffing, menus, travel, setup, breakdown
- Lead major mobile events and support smaller ones
- Partner with marketing to bring our brand to life through storytelling, merch, and mission-driven engagement
- Manage financials: P&L, A/R, billing, cash handling, reporting
- Maintain inventory, storage, and equipment for mobile and in-restaurant events
Event & Community Engagement
- Respond to inquiries for in-restaurant events, rentals, and live music
- Evaluate feasibility, build quotes, and coordinate with GMs and RMs
- Approve and execute events that boost revenue, community impact, and brand visibility
- Large-scale community events
Operations Leadership
- Jump into daily operations as MOD at locations like Lake Street, UVM, or BTV
- Provide coverage to support teams and ensure smooth operations
- Lead by example—coaching, training, and elevating the guest experience
- Maintain consistency in food, beverage, service, and brand standards
- Ensure compliance with health codes, liquor laws, and safety regulations
- Keep equipment and facilities event-ready
Who You Are
- Energized by variety, unpredictability, and hands-on work
- A natural leader who inspires teams and builds community
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between
- Skilled in logistics, communication, and creative problem-solving
- Passionate about hospitality, local food, and mission-driven business
- Ready for travel, long days, and the occasional nights under the stars
