Shift Lead Description
The Shift lead position is an intermediate and growth position within our management team. Shift leaders typically support the AGM or KM in routine operations and is responsible for the day-to-day supervising of non-management associates. Assigning specified work to non-management associates, focusing on operational excellence. Coaching and developing non-management associates and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or assigned Management of which an associate is capable of performing. This position reports to the GM, AGM or KM.
Duties Include:

- Supervises the day-to-day activities of non-management associates
- Assigns work responsibilities and ensures that all shifts are covered
- Conducts and coordinates on-the-job training for associates and ensures all associates receive basic skills training to perform their jobs
- Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels
- Monitors and maintains all quality control records; to include quality assurance and loss prevention policies and procedures are being adhered to
- Complies with company standards of operation procedures.
- Assures all products are prepared and presented in accordance with the brand and company standards
- Provides recommendations for hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other status change of associates within the store
- Active food handler card
- Demonstrates knowledge of Emerging policies and product, service, quality, equipment and operations standards
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Requires up to 2 years of experience in Food and Beverage or food production operations or other related management experience
- Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledgeable in Front and Back of house operations
- Follows all security and safety procedures established by the EDMV and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
- Must have food handler’s card
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents as well as converse comfortably with individuals
Physical Requirements:
The following are physical actions that are commonly required during the performance of the daily job routine. They include but are not limited to the following:
- Walk continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods of time to perform normal job functions
- Ability to lift and/or move up to a minimum of 30 pounds
- Use protective equipment such as gloves, eye protection and/or other protective equipment deemed appropriate as needed.
- Any and all other physical movements necessary to complete assigned tasks.
