Dishwasher Responsibilities:
A dishwasher is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure smooth kitchen operations in restaurants, hotels, or cafeterias.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans by hand or using industrial dishwashers, ensuring all items meet health and safety standards.
- Sorting and Organizing: Scrape, sort, and stack dirty dishes before washing; dry and store clean items in proper locations.
- Kitchen Support: Assist cooks and chefs with basic food prep, restocking supplies, and maintaining clean workstations.
- Janitorial Duties: Sweep and mop floors, empty trash, clean garbage cans, and sanitize kitchen surfaces.
- Inventory Management: Monitor cleaning supplies and report low stock to management.
- Table and Dining Area Support: Buss tables, remove soiled plates, and reset dining areas as needed.
