Chick-fil-A Careers and Jobs

Assistant Manager/Director — Chick-fil-A Keller & Chick-fil-A N. Tarrant Pkwy

Impacting Lives with Excellence in Leadership.

We own results. We build people. We rise in pressure.

At Chick-fil-A Keller and Chick-fil-A N. Tarrant Pkwy, we don't just run restaurants — we develop leaders. The Assistant Director role sits at a critical point in our leadership pyramid: Department Stability. You are the person who brings consistency when things are hard, develops Team Leaders into their potential, and holds the standard when the pressure is highest. If that's who you are — or who you're becoming — we want to meet you.

Why This Role Matters

Assistant Directors are the connective tissue of our operation. You lead the leaders. You own the outcomes of your department. You build the training systems that make excellence repeatable and develop the people who will carry this mission forward.

This is also a role with real trajectory. At Chick-fil-A Keller and N. Tarrant Pkwy, our leadership pathway runs from Specialist to Senior Director — and every level is intentional. As an Assistant Director, you are a strong Level 3 leader growing into Level 4, preparing to multiply your impact across the organization. For the right person, this path can ultimately lead to the highest opportunity in our brand: becoming a Chick-fil-A Owner/Operator.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop Team Leaders and team members to achieve department-level operational excellence
  • Drive guest satisfaction by holding the highest standards for hospitality, food quality, speed, and accuracy
  • Oversee financial stewardship — sales growth, labor management, and cost efficiency
  • Partner with senior leadership and the Operator to execute strategic initiatives and operational goals
  • Build and own training systems that make great performance consistent and scalable
  • Recruit, develop, and retain strong leaders — building the pipeline above and below you
  • Foster a culture of accountability, servant leadership, and continuous improvement
  • Own your shift completely — anticipating problems, delegating clearly, and setting the next team up for success

Who You Are

At this level, leadership is measured by what you build and what you sustain. We look for Assistant Directors who embody all three of our Leadership Manifesto core values:

Lead with Responsibility You own department results. You don't wait for problems to be handed to you — you see them, claim them, and solve them. You hold your leaders accountable with clarity and respect, and you never confuse busyness with ownership. When something goes wrong in your department, you look inward first.

Develop with Purpose You are intentional about the growth of every Team Leader under your care. You build training systems that don't depend on any one person. You delegate not just tasks, but responsibility — because you know that developing people is the most important thing you do. You are always thinking about who's next and what they need from you to get there.

Perform Under Pressure You are at your best when it's hardest. You maintain standards when the restaurant is slammed, when you're short-staffed, when the unexpected happens. You delegate clearly, stay composed, and bring a steadiness that your team leans on. Pressure doesn't change who you are — it reveals it.

You also bring:

  • 1+ years of leadership experience leading a team of 10 or more people, with direct responsibility for their results and performance
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college experience a plus
  • The ability to inspire, coach, and hold others accountable with honor and respect
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a genuine growth mindset
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays
  • Must be at least 18 years old
