Our Shift Leaders are responsible for leading the team in executing daily operations, keeping team members accountable, and ensuring each guest receives great food served with great care. A Shift Leader’s three main areas of focus are completing assigned managerial tasks, delegating appropriate tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Shift Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Shift Leader Responsibilities:

  • Protect the Chick-fil-A Brand
  • Uphold Vision, Mission, Purpose, and Core Values
  • Open and close the restaurant
  • Run Operations in the FOH or BOH as scheduled
  • Cash management
  • Answer phones and handle in-person complaints 
  • Remain informed on all Store, Market, and Chain-Wide Events and Promotions
  • Identify future leaders and develop them to the highest level
  • Help achieve the goals of the store
  • Complete assigned assessments
  • Uphold policies and procedures
  • Document all accountability conversations
  • Approve discounts and promos

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must have ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification
  • Must be 18 years or older (due to safety and security reasons)
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective conflict management skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to learn and serve others
  • Ability to lead and influence people effectively
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Part-time - To be discussed with Owner/Operator
  • Full-time
  • Ability to open and close
  • Friday and Saturday availability
  • Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.
  • ServeSafe Food Manager Certification
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Bend, twist, and utilize a ladder
  • Be physically active for long periods
  • Being outside in all-weather situations
