General Summary:

Leaders must delegate, train, and monitor the progress of all associates and all facets of the hardware store. The primary responsibilities of leadership is to manage the sales floor, associates, and day to day tasks to ensure customers are receiving the highest level of customer service.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
  • Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
  • Greet customers throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
  • Oversee and assist with orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise area.
  • Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
  • Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
  • Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
  • Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
  • Lead by example; be approachable by all associates and customers.


Job Requirements:

  • Ability to be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor
  • Be professional in appearance and actions.
  • Retail management experience (required)
  • Hardware experience (preferred)
