General Summary:
The Paint Associates are primarily responsible for helping paint customers. They also assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. Paint associates will also be cross trained on cashier and sales associate duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
- Assist paint customers with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
- Greet customers throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
- Assist with orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise area.
- Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise of the paint department.
- Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
- Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor
- Be professional in appearance and actions.
- Retail experience (preferred)
- Paint experience (preferred)
- Hardware experience (preferred)
