Main Responsibilities of a Line Cook: 

 

Line Cook Job Description: We are looking for an experienced line cook to fill a growing need in our kitchen staff and contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant. The operation is located in Lexington MA near Hanscom Air Force Base serving a diverse population from the medical, military & business fields. The person we are looking to employ is first and foremost skilled in their ability to prepare and serve various breakfast and luncheon options, is well organized, and passionate about the foodservice industry. 


We are looking for someone to work as a team player that can help us continue to serve our customers with delicious food and great service. In addition the successful candidate will have great communication, organizational and leadership skills. A good candidate for this job is a person with similar experience with attention to details and who takes care of the kitchen environment in a clean and food safe environment.

Responsibilities of a Line Cook: 

Assist Head Chef in all phases of the operation.

Develop skills necessary to prepare themselves for growth within our organization or any future organization through the following.

  • Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen. 
  • Preparing workstations for cooking and meal time service.
  •  Proper use of and sanitizing kitchen equipment before during and after use. 
  •  Inspect all food products to insure the highest standard of quality in all stages of prep and service. 
  •  Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques. 
  •  Arranging food and ensuring appealing presentation. 
  •  Manage food storage, stock, and ingredient orders. 
  •  Must be skilled in various cooking techniques. 
  •  Must be Serv-Safe certified and demonstrate consistent sanitation procedures.
  •  Must be able to work well with team members. 
  •  Must showcase great organizational skills. 
  •  Must be able to multitask and act quickly.
