Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair hand tools as needed.


  • Issue, track, and inventory hand tools for employees and departments.


  • Ensure tools meet safety and quality standards before use.


  • Identify damaged or worn tools and arrange for repair or replacement.


  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.


  • Organize tool storage areas to maximize efficiency and accessibility.


  • Assist employees in selecting the appropriate tools for specific tasks.


  • Follow OSHA and company safety policies regarding tool use and storage.


  • Order replacement tools and supplies when inventory levels are low.


  • Support preventive maintenance programs for tooling and equipment.


  • Train employees on proper hand tool use, care, and storage when required.

The Hand Tool Specialist is responsible for selecting, maintaining, organizing, inspecting, and distributing hand tools used in daily operations. This role ensures tools are in safe working condition, readily available, and compliant with company quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and experience working with a variety of hand tools.
