Position Summary:
The Kitchen Director role is the organizational leader who sustainably grows the health of the local brand and restaurant with a focus on the Back of House Team.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Embodies restaurant and company mission and vision
• Creates long-term organizational goals for growth with DOO
• Communicates mission, vision and goals to organization and team
• Assesses food safety and quality regularly and creates & owns systems and processes that support improvement.
• Maintains equipment & supply ordering
• Regularly explores pathways updates & ensures team is aligned
• Plans long-term employee development and team growth
• Builds intentional relationships encouraging two-way dialogue
• Motivates team to achieve departmental goals
• Completes interviews for department
• Coaches Managers primarily to coach and develop Supervisors
• Conducts weekly Manager meetings or 1-on-1’s
• Conducts leadership development as needed to grow talent pipeline
• Facilitates and innovates organizational training and development plans for continuous improvement and growth
• Analyzes monthly business trends (FCR, IPO, Food Cost, Labor Cost, Data)
• Analyzes and utilizes customer metrics (CEM, Servicepoint)
• Analyzes daily and weekly data (Hotschedules, Cares)
• Analyzes monthly data (Food Cost, Labor Cost, Budgets)
• Analyzes quarterly and weekly business trends
• Tracks waste
• Creates long-term plans to drive results
• Creates long-term plans to achieve organizational goals
• Creates and stewards focused space to accomplish projects and operations work
• Leads and champions organizational change and innovation
• Creates streamline systems for LEAN efficiency
• Coordinates projects for implementing systems with team
• Other duties as assigned
