Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Business Administrator to join our team. The Business Administrator will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the company, with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction and facilitating efficient communication and coordination. Key responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound calls, handling SREC (Solar Renewable Energy Credit) applications and management, processing building permit requests, and managing interconnection requests with electric companies. 


Responsibilities: 

Customer Service: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, requests, and concerns. 
  • Ensure prompt and courteous responses to customer inquiries and follow-up to ensure satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve issues effectively. 

Inbound and Outbound Calls: 

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries, providing information and assistance as needed. 
  • Make outbound calls to customers to provide updates, gather information, or follow up on requests. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls and interactions in the company's CRM system. 

SREC (Solar Renewable Energy Credit) Applications and Management: 

  • Submit SREC applications and documentation for customers. 
  • Monitor SREC programs and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize benefits for customers. 

Building Permit Requests: 

  • Coordinate the submission of building permit requests for solar installation projects. 
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and information are provided to regulatory authorities to expedite permit approval. 
  • Track the status of permit requests and follow up as needed to facilitate timely approvals. 

Interconnection Requests: 

  • Facilitate the interconnection process with electric companies for solar installation projects. 
  • Coordinate with electric companies to submit interconnection applications and documentation. 
  • Monitor the progress of interconnection requests and provide updates to customers and internal teams. 

Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR): 

  • Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, obtaining approvals, and issuing payments. 
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service or administrative roles, preferably in the renewable energy industry. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Knowledge of SREC programs and permitting processes preferred.
