About the Role

We are currently seeking Lead Field Technicians for our Shared Mobility Field Operations to help maintain and grow our fleet. JUMP seeks professionals who are passionate about making cities a better place to live, care about customer service, and can help us continually improve our program’s efficiency. JUMP’s team will train all hires on technical aspects of our shared mobility technology. Lead Techs will be responsible for understanding the daily needs of the system and dispatching drivers to meet demand. Additionally, the Lead Tech role supervises recharging and safety inspection operations.

Responsibilities:


- Supervise recharging and safety inspection operations
- Dispatch vans to distribute and collect equipment
- Operate, load, and unload a large van to help move equipment around JUMP’s service area.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by following safe work practices and procedures.
- Perform routine inspection and redistribution of equipment in Austin.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs as necessary.
- Identify, document, and recover equipment requiring in-shop repair.
- Log maintenance activity in software through wireless tablet.
Engage with and respond to customers in the field.
Assist with assembly.


Experience and Skills:


- Ability to safely drive a large cargo van on narrow city streets and in high
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required (no more than 1 moving violation in the past three years). Must be able to pass MVR check.
- Knowledge of regional geography and street layout preferred
- Flexible availability, including early morning, night, and weekend shifts preferred
- Mechanical and technical aptitude. Previous mechanical experience preferred
- Comfortable with fast-paced response times for repairs and driving
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to be both self-directed and work well in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Strong communication skills and positive attitude
- Excitement and interest in shared mobility is a must!
