**Position: Crew Member/Chill Staff/Grill Cook/Customer Service**

**Responsibilities:**
- **Customer Service:**
- Communicate clearly, quickly, and politely with co-workers to ensure correct and timely service to customers.
- Be pleasant and attentive to customer needs.
- **Product Preparation:**
- Prepare treat products and cook/grill items following Dairy Queen’s health and safety standards accurately and efficiently.
- Assemble, wrap, and present food items to ensure quality and adherence to restaurant standards.
- **Grill and Kitchen Operations:**
- Execute all kitchen operations, including grilling and cooking food items.
- Stock all needed products and preparation materials, ensuring they are stored and handled in a clean and safe manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, ensuring all areas are tidy and meet health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely food preparation.
- **Equipment Handling:**
- Operate and maintain restaurant and chill equipment safely while adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Properly handle and maintain grill equipment and other kitchen appliances.
- **Teamwork:**
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure consistent quality, service, cleanliness, and value for each customer.
- **Cleanliness:**
- Clean work areas, including the kitchen, and maintain cleanliness in all customer areas. This includes washing counters, tables, restrooms, and other cleaning tasks as required.
- Break down and clean the chill area and kitchen thoroughly at the end of each day.
- **Stocking and Rotation:**
- Stock and rotate products properly. Complete assigned prep work for stocking and setting up the chill area and kitchen.
- **Maintenance:**
- Occasionally handle tasks outside the building, such as parking lot pick-up and trash removal.
- **Problem Reporting:**
- Inform immediate supervisor promptly of any issues or unusual matters of significance.
- **Additional Duties:**
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by management staff or shift leaders.
**Requirements:**
- **Physical Ability:**
- Capable of moving cases of food/paper products, containers of up to 50 pounds, and stock ice in dispensers. Ability to stand for long periods and perform under pressure in a high-volume setting.
- **Mobility:**
- Ability to move quickly within the customer service area and kitchen, handling up to 40 customers per hour.
- **Temperature Tolerance:**
- Work in varying temperature ranges and handle food, drinks, and treats regularly.
- **Attention to Detail:**
- A keen eye for detail to ensure food quality and kitchen cleanliness. Ability to follow established food handling procedures.
- **Communication:**
- Ability to read order monitors, recall and communicate product information, and practice established food handling procedures.
- **Interpersonal Skills:**
- Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, a positive attitude, and promptness. Ability to interact effectively with the public and co-workers.
