Requirements of a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 2+ years’ experience in accounts payable & payroll processing
- Proliant payroll experience preferred
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Responsibilities of a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Respond to general AP inquiries from vendors
- Assist associates with day to day AP questions (via email and phone)
- Coordinate on-demand check requests and their required approvals
- Work through large vendor statements and follow up with field/vendors
- Import employee hours and special pays into payroll system
- Evaluate payroll data for reasonableness
- Review timesheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
- Update payroll records/run payroll/post journal entries
- Communicate with supervisors and managers to resolve payroll questions
- Prepare pay statements and payroll reports
