Position Overview

The Front of House Team Leader is responsible for protecting the guest experience, driving shift performance, and holding the team to excellence in speed, accuracy, and hospitality.

You will lead shifts, coach in real time, solve problems quickly, and ensure systems are followed — even when it’s busy, stressful, or uncomfortable.

You are not just managing people.

You are building leaders and protecting the culture.


Performance Expectations

You will be held accountable for:

  • Speed of service targets
  • Order accuracy standards
  • Guest satisfaction and recovery
  • Cleanliness and brand presentation
  • Team positioning and labor awareness
  • Energy and morale on every shift

When performance dips, you address it immediately.

When standards slip, you correct them respectfully and firmly.


Key Responsibilities

Shift Ownership

  • Lead high-volume shifts with clarity and urgency
  • Make decisive calls during peak hours
  • Adjust labor and positioning based on real-time demand
  • Maintain control of the floor at all times

Guest Experience Protection

  • Ensure every guest receives fast, accurate, and remarkable service
  • Resolve guest concerns immediately and professionally
  • Model eye contact, smile, tone, and hospitality standards without exception

Team Accountability & Development

  • Coach in the moment — not days later
  • Hold team members accountable to expectations
  • Identify weak spots and retrain immediately
  • Develop future leaders with intentional growth conversations
  • Set the emotional tone for the shift

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of restaurant or hospitality experience
  • Previous leadership or shift leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in giving direction
  • Proven track record of reliability and follow-through
  • Comfortable having hard conversations when necessary

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Must be 18+
  • Open availability including early mornings, late evenings, Saturdays, and holidays
  • Physically able to stand for 8+ hours and move with urgency
  • Willing to work in all Front of House positions
  • Commitment to protecting Chick-fil-A brand standards at all times
